Puppy Application questionaire for Commocean Portuguese Water Dogs

1. What attracted you to the portuguese water dog?

2. Where do you live, in town, city, country, house or townhouse?

3. Do you have a fenced yard?

4. Please provide some information on yourself and family. Do you have children? How many and how old? Do any of you have allergies?

5. Please provide some information on your family's lifestyle and activity level.

6. How much time will you have to spend with the puppy? If you work outside the home, how long will the pup be alone? Do you have someone who can feed and potty the pup during the day?

7. Have you had a dog before? If so, what breed, and what happened to it?

8. Will you be taking the pup to obedience classes? Are you interested in any dog sports such as showing, obedience trials, agility, water work etc.?

9. Are you aware that this is a high energy breed? And that they tend to be strong willed? They need excercise and training to be a good house pet.

10. Are you aware that this breed needs to be close to his people? He is not at all happy to be alone and needs to be in the house with the family.

11. As a non shedding breed, their coat grows continuously. Are you able to keep up with brushing and regular trips to the groomer?
